Course Description
This 25-hour course dives deep into the diagnosis, pathophysiology, and functional management of executive dysfunction and behavioral disorders in children and adolescents. Clinicians will gain a comprehensive understanding of conditions such as ADD, ADHD, OCD, ODD, anxiety, PDD-NOS, and sensory modulation disorders. With a strong foundation in DSM-V diagnostic criteria, neurodevelopmental causes, and clinical comorbidities, participants will learn to identify subtle distinctions between disorders, uncover root causes, and implement effective, evidence-based care strategies.
What you’ll learn:
- Differentiate between executive dysfunction disorders such as ADD, ADHD, and ODD using DSM-V criteria.
- Understand proposed causes, comorbidities, and neurodevelopmental pathophysiology of behavioral and developmental disorders.
- Recognize the diagnostic patterns of OCD, anxiety, sensory modulation disorder, and PDD-NOS.
- Apply clinical tools and strategies to assess and support children with overlapping neurobehavioral conditions.
