Persistent symptoms are not acute symptoms that lasted longer. After months of neuroplastic remodeling, the mechanisms are different: entangled networks, autonomic dysregulation, unresolved sensory conflict, cognitive systems that never came back online. Managed with acute-phase thinking, they don't move.
