Course Description

This course explores the neurological foundations of the respiratory, cardiovascular, digestive, and reproductive systems. Emphasis is placed on the brain’s role in regulating these systems and how dysfunction can lead to chronic conditions such as heart disease, gastrointestinal disorders, and reproductive challenges. Students will learn to perform diagnostic evaluations and apply non-pharmaceutical, neurological treatment strategies to improve patient outcomes.

What you’ll learn:

  • Explain the neuroanatomy and physiology governing heart, lung, gut, and reproductive function.
  • Identify neurologically mediated disorders affecting these systems.
  • Perform diagnostic exams including ECG, spirometry, and auscultation.
  • Apply neurological treatment techniques to improve system health and function.
