Description

This self-paced online module explores the often-overlooked “intangible” effects of concussion, with a focus on outcome assessments, mental status, and symptom burden. Participants will learn how to collect, interpret, and integrate baseline brain health data, phenotyping information, and subjective reports to inform prognosis and treatment. Topics include sleep, autonomic function, affect, mental toughness, and health-related quality of life. Clinicians will also gain access to a curated library of validated outcome measures and tools for use in practice.

What you’ll learn:

  • Understand the value of baseline brain health metrics for mTBI assessment.
  • Utilize outcome assessments to quantify symptom burden, affect, HRQoL, sleep, and autonomic function.
  • Create personalized concussion intake forms and interpret patient-reported outcomes.
  • Review current literature supporting evidence-based evaluation of intangible post-concussive effects.
