Course Description
Clinical practice often involves navigating uncertainty while caring for patients with complex neurological presentations. In this session, Josephine Pucci reflects on the insights gained through challenging clinical experiences and the process of developing deeper diagnostic understanding. The lecture explores how clinicians integrate scientific knowledge, clinical observation, and pattern recognition when evaluating patients whose presentations may not follow predictable patterns. Participants will examine how unexpected outcomes and difficult cases can refine clinical reasoning and strengthen professional judgment. By embracing uncertainty as part of the learning process, practitioners can cultivate greater insight into neurological function and patient care. This session encourages clinicians to view complex cases not only as challenges but also as opportunities to deepen their understanding and improve their approach to patient evaluation and treatment.
What you’ll learn:
- Understand the role of uncertainty in clinical decision-making.
- Recognize how pattern recognition contributes to diagnostic reasoning.
- Identify lessons learned from complex neurological cases.
- Explore how experience strengthens clinical intuition.
- Apply reflective thinking to improve patient care strategies.
