Course Description
In this 25-hour advanced module, participants will explore the latest in neuroimmune strategies for managing chronic overlapping pain conditions. Focused heavily on vagus nerve stimulation—including transcutaneous auricular VNS (tAVNS)—this course combines in-depth lectures with hands-on practicums. Clinicians will learn targeted assessment and intervention techniques for neuroinflammatory and neuroimmune disorders, integrating gastrointestinal, pelvic, and autonomic diagnostics. Scholars will emerge with a refined understanding of how to implement evidence-based strategies for functional pain management in clinical settings.
What you’ll learn:
- Diagnose and manage chronic overlapping pain conditions using neuroimmune and neuroinflammatory frameworks.
- Apply history-taking, examination, and assessment tools specific to chronic pain syndromes.
- Integrate transcutaneous vagus nerve stimulation (tAVNS) into evidence-based clinical protocols.
- Perform hands-on assessment and intervention techniques for GI, pelvic, and vagal pathways.
- Understand and apply emerging literature on vagus nerve stimulation in functional pain, IBS, and migraine.
