Course Description
This 25-hour course, taught by Professor Frederick Carrick, delivers a comprehensive foundation in the assessment and management of movement disorders. Clinicians will learn to diagnose and treat a wide range of conditions including Parkinsonism, dystonia, ataxia, chorea, tremors, Huntington’s disease, progressive supranuclear palsy, restless legs syndrome, and more. Emphasis is placed on recognizing both motor and non-motor manifestations, understanding the underlying pathophysiology, and applying functional neurology and rehabilitative strategies. This course fulfills ACNB specialty certification requirements in Movement Disorders.
