Description

This 25-hour advanced course, taught by Professor Frederick Carrick, builds upon foundational movement disorder education to deliver expert-level diagnosis and management strategies. Participants will review the principles of identifying and treating motor and non-motor manifestations of movement disorders such as Rett syndrome, Sydenham's chorea, Tourette's syndrome, tardive dyskinesia, and spasticity. Emphasis is placed on recognizing complex clinical presentations, interpreting neurological findings, and applying functional, pharmaceutical, and rehabilitative strategies. This course fulfills ACNB Specialty Certificate requirements in Movement Disorders.
