Description

This 15-hour course, taught by Dr. Mike Nelson, helps clinicians stay up to date with the latest neuroscience research and translate findings into clinical application. Participants will use the Carrick Institute’s 8-step critical analysis framework to review recent studies on topics such as rapamycin, creatine, cannabis, fish oil, insulin, photobiomodulation, and nutraceuticals in brain injury and neurodegeneration. Designed for clinicians maintaining diplomate or fellowship status, this course strengthens clinical reasoning and improves evidence-informed care in functional neurology.

What you’ll learn:

  • Apply the 8-step model to evaluate the relevance and rigor of neuroscience research.
  • Interpret studies on rapamycin, fish oil, and cannabis in the context of neurological health.
  • Translate findings on photobiomodulation and nutraceuticals into neurorehab strategies.
  • Integrate evidence into patient care for conditions like Alzheimer’s, Parkinson’s, and concussion.
