Course Description
This 25-hour foundational course, taught by Dr. Matthew Worth, introduces clinicians to the physiology, pathophysiology, and functional management of neurodevelopmental disorders (NDDs). Through a detailed review of neural development, sensory-motor coherence, limbic system formation, and disruptions in CNS maturation, participants will learn how to identify, assess, and manage NDDs across all age groups. Additional topics include polyvagal theory, primitive reflexes, neuropsychological testing, developmental milestones, nutrition, and evidence-based treatment planning. This course sets the stage for mastering the full NDD curriculum and becoming a leader in pediatric and adolescent neurodevelopmental care.
What you’ll learn:
- Understand the physiology of sensory, motor, and limbic system development and their coherence.
- Identify the pathophysiology and clinical features of various NDDs including developmental coordination and intellectual disorders.
- Apply neurodevelopmental milestones, primitive reflex testing, and developmental screenings to clinical assessments.
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans using functional neurology, nutrition, neuropsychological testing, and home-based interventions.
