Course Description
Post-concussion syndrome can present complex and persistent challenges for patients and clinicians. In this session, Barbara Kinder explores the neurological and personal dimensions of post-concussion syndrome from the perspective of both a clinician and a parent. Participants will examine the range of symptoms that may follow a concussion, including cognitive, emotional, and physical changes that can affect daily functioning. The presentation highlights the challenges involved in diagnosing and managing persistent post-concussion symptoms while emphasizing the importance of compassionate, patient-centered care. By combining clinical insight with personal experience, this session offers a deeper understanding of how concussion can affect individuals and families.
