Description

This 15-hour course introduces clinicians to the technical and clinical principles of neuroradiology. Participants will learn how to interpret key imaging modalities—including MRI, CT, PET, MRA, and SPECT—with a focus on neurological anatomy and pathology. Topics include understanding T1 and T2 signal intensities, contrast use, and identifying brain abnormalities such as tumors, infarcts, MS, and neurodegenerative diseases. The course also covers functional imaging, vascular studies, and best practices for selecting and interpreting diagnostic scans.

What you’ll learn:

  • Understand MRI and CT imaging physics, including T1/T2 weighting and contrast effects.
  • Interpret signal intensities and recognize normal vs. pathological findings on neuroimaging.
  • Identify key brain conditions on imaging, including stroke, MS, tumors, and dementia.
  • Differentiate between imaging modalities such as MRI, PET, fMRI, and angiography for clinical application.
