Description

This 15-hour course provides a comprehensive examination of the proprioceptive and neuromuscular systems, focusing on the structure and function of muscle tissue, reflex pathways, and central modulation of movement. Participants will explore energy dynamics, reflex arcs, suprasegmental pathways, and clinical disorders such as myopathies, hypotonia, spasticity, and neuromuscular junction dysfunction. Emphasis is placed on clinical applications, including stretching, hypertrophy, nutrition, and neuromuscular rehab strategies.

What you’ll learn:

  • Understand muscle anatomy, physiology, contraction mechanisms, and reflex pathways.
  • Evaluate central influences on muscle tone and voluntary movement via descending tracts.
  • Identify and differentiate primary and secondary myopathies and neuromuscular disorders.
  • Apply clinical strategies including nutrition, stretching, and rehab for muscular performance.
