Description
This self-paced module focuses on bedside methods for evaluating concussion-related brain dysfunction. Participants will explore a comparative analysis of modern concussion screening and diagnostic tools and learn how to perform detailed neurologic exams that assess sensory, motor, cognitive, and autonomic function. Emphasis is placed on interpreting vital signs, evaluating graviception, and integrating embryological insights into practical clinical assessments. This module equips clinicians with hands-on strategies to bridge the gap between symptom recognition and measurable neurologic deficits.
What you’ll learn:
- Compare contemporary concussion tools across screening, confirmatory, and objective categories.
- Perform bedside neurological exams for sensory processing, motor control, and cognition.
- Assess autonomic dysfunction through vitals, graviception, and sensory error integration.
- Interpret optometric, orthoptic, and somatosensory findings relevant to concussion care.
- Apply embryological concepts of neurodevelopment to clinical assessments in mTBI.
