Description

This 15-hour course focuses on the assessment and rehabilitation of vertical and torsional eye movements critical for visual-vestibular integration. Clinicians will explore the neuroanatomy and physiology of vertical gaze, optokinetics, the vestibular system, and related brain structures involved in dizziness and visual motion intolerance. Through hands-on applications, virtual reality tools, and bedside testing techniques, participants will gain the skills to manage patients with conditions such as PPPD, VID, MdDS, and post-concussion syndromes.

What you’ll learn:

  • Understand the central and peripheral systems involved in vertical and torsional eye movements.
  • Perform clinical assessments for visual-vestibular dysfunction using VOG, VR, and bedside tools.
  • Identify disorders such as PPPD, MdDS, and post-concussion VID affecting visual-vestibular systems.
  • Apply visual and vestibular rehab strategies including VR, optokinetics, and sensory reintegration techniques.
