Course Description
This 15-hour hands-on course focuses on the role of optokinetic nystagmus (OKN) in visual-vestibular integration and rehabilitation. Clinicians will learn to assess and treat conditions such as visually induced dizziness (VID), persistent postural perceptual dizziness (PPPD), and visual motion intolerance. Participants will explore the neurophysiology behind OKN, velocity storage, vection, and brain region involvement (cerebellum, basal ganglia, brainstem, etc.), and apply practical rehab strategies using both high- and low-tech tools, including virtual reality. Emphasis is placed on clinical case application and outcome-driven techniques.
