About

Daniel Carcillo

Daniel Carcillo is a former professional ice hockey player and health advocate with experience in brain injury awareness and post-concussion recovery. He played in the National Hockey League (NHL) as a left winger, most notably with the Chicago Blackhawks, where he was part of two Stanley Cup championship teams in 2013 and 2015.

Following his retirement from professional hockey, Carcillo shifted his focus toward supporting individuals affected by traumatic brain injury and post-concussion symptoms. He established a nonprofit organization aimed at assisting former athletes navigating neurological and mental health challenges after their playing careers.

Carcillo is also the founder and CEO of Wesana Health, a life sciences company focused on exploring therapeutic approaches for traumatic brain injury, including research into emerging treatment modalities. His work reflects an ongoing interest in improving understanding and care for individuals experiencing the long-term effects of head injury.
